The Winter issue brings us to the close of our first year. Through this magazine I have made many friends in many countries around the world. With your input, we continue to improve and have many plans for 2006....stay tuned! I would also like to thank all of those who selflessly contributed to Bujin-Kan, without you this could not have happened.

Ok, on to this issue! Benjamin Cole gives us his 3rd installment of his taijutsu series, this time focusing on the good uke. Alex Meehan takes us in search of fudoshin. Professor Jeffery Walker explains how to apply awareness skills for survival in an urban environment. We are pleased to welcome Christopher Carbonaro, a student of Nagato Shihan, with his article "Techniques From the Scrolls".

Brandon Alvarez shares with us his visit to Seinin-ji Temple to view the spear of Hattori Hanzo. Benjamin Cole also shares with us some information on gift giving while visiting japan, and I review the book by Akira Hino, "Kokoro no Katachi - The Image of Kokoro" and I must say, that book gave me a new perspective on Soke and Japanese Budo. Finally, Stephen Ewart reviews the Shihan Peter King DVD from Dublin in 2005.

Once again, we welcome your comments, good or bad, and we would like to use them for a new feedback column so please send us your thoughts or suggestions.

As I mentioned earlier, we have many plans for 2006 including new features in the magazine as well as the possibility of an annual Bujin-Kan event (which I am very excited about!), translation into other languages as well as a few things I cant mention just yet (sorry for the tease!) so you will have to check back in Spring.

I would like to personally thank everyone who has subscribed and or submitted articles, Bujin-Kan is quickly being recognized as the magazine for the Bujinkan!

Have a great New Year!
